If it’s anything like the Gatso or Truvelo (front facing) cameras then yes I expect it would. As far as the above post is concerned, you would not “go blind” if a camera flashed at you, otherwise I am sure that front facing cameras would be banned by now due to the number of crashes caused by them! Also, if it was a red light camera, then presumably it would be a rear facing camera, or else how would it see you going over the line?? Are you sure it was actually a camera, most traffic lights have sensors on the top (small black square lens pointing to appraoching traffic) to detect the number of vehicles approaching. Traffic light cameras in my area are all gatso’s that are tall and thin – not the normal squareish ones – and are on a separate post before the red light, facing the white line, catching your the back of your vehicle as you cross the line.
