Does the Red Cross have a permanent shelter facility?
The American Red Cross often sets up temporary shelters to help people in the aftermath of a large disaster. At this time, our chapter does not have a permanent shelter facility. If you, or someone you know is in need of emergency shelter for non-disaster related reasons, you may wish to contact United Way’s “First Call for Help”, which is a referral service that may be able to help you locate an agency that provides emergency shelter. You can dial their hotline at (215) 568 3750. Visit The Red Cross House online.
