No. The Town of Cary does save money; however, there is a cost to providing this service.

The Town of Cary saves money that would have been paid in tipping fees to the landfill to dispose of the recyclable material. Also, the Town receives money by selling the recycling materials. The amount in 2002-2003 was more than $464,000.
