Yes, the PS3 has a Trophy system. Trophies are essentially the PS3’s version of the “Achievement” system on the Xbox 360. However, instead of a Gamerscore, the player’s rank is tracked by a level and experience system. All new game releases are now required to have trophies. However, many PS3 games released in 2008 and earlier do not have trophies.
