Yes. To unlock the parental lock, press the select button while a movie is playing (or trying to play) to show the system menu and input the number code: 7444. Try it again several times if it does not work. Unlike the PlayStation Portable, the parental controls on the PlayStation 2 do not affect mature-rated videogames.
