Does the Provost’s Fellowship include tuition remission for summer?
The Graduate School does not automatically cover summer tuition units for Provost’s fellows. If you were receiving fellowship funds in the Fall and Spring and wish to enroll in summer units in the following Summer semester, you should contact gradfllw@usc.edu with your request prior to enrolling. This request should include the summer course title(s) and number(s), as well as the total number of units requested, and have the support of their faculty advisor (an email to the Graduate School will suffice as support). Once the Graduate School receives this information, we can consider a fellow’s request for summer units. However, if you were a Graduate Assistant (TA/RA) during the academic year, the department that hired you should cover your summer tuition. If you were not on fellowship during the academic year, you cannot receive summer tuition remission through the Graduate School.
