Does the property owner have to be qualified if they use an aerial contractor?
No. The training requirements apply to the person preparing, using or directly supervising the preparation or use of these chemicals. However, anyone intending to prepare, use or directly supervise the preparation or aerial use requires a pilot chemical rating licence under the Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control Act 1966 (PDF)* or a pilot’s Spraysafe accreditation issued by the Aerial Agricultural Association of Australia.
