Does the Privy Council still hear cases from Malta?
The Republic of Malta used to be a colony of the British Empire and during such times citizens of Malta could appeal to the British Privy Council since it was a former supreme court of appeal for the entire British Empire. Until this present day, the Privy Council continues to hear appeals from British Overseas Territories, Sovereign Base Areas, Crown Dependencies and some Commonwealth countries.
