Does the Priority Information Management System (PIMS) give automatic clearance to the appointment of a priority person?
No. For technical reasons the PSC has stopped giving auto-clearance for Selection Process I. (12) Appointment of a Priority Person. Organizations need to request priority clearance for these appointments using PIMS in the usual manner. PSC Priority Administration Officers will go into the Feedback Form and provide clearance. This will ensure that any other priorities that might be qualified for the position may be considered. This is important, for example, when there is another qualified priority with a higher entitlement than the priority being proposed for appointment.
