Does the printer pass its ROM, RAM and Self Test checks?
When powered on, the printer will normally go through a series of initial checks: the ROM check, RAM check and then Self Test. You can watch its progress on the LCD panel: • If the error appears again, take note of at which stage the printer stopped. Power the printer off again and disconnect it from the mains. Leave it for a few minutes and then reconnect it and power it on again. If the error still remains, skip to the last section of this article, If the error does not clear. • Otherwise, if the printer warms up normally the issue should now be resolved. If the printer is displaying Ready or Sleep, press the Enter button three times to print it. Otherwise, use the control panel to access the Information Menu.
