Does the Prepainted Metal really get formed by the metal using manufacturers?
Absolutely. Prepainted Metals can be break-pressed formed, drawn over dies, roll-formed, and continually formed in fully automated process lines. The only major differences between forming Prepainted Metals and bare metals are that the bend radii for Prepainted Metals need to be generous enough to prevent paint cracking, and the tooling used in the forming operations need to be highly polished to prevent scratches and abrasion marks.
