All of the renewable energy supported by the program comes from sources in western states. The wind component comes from several sources including the Alite Wind Facility in southern California. The solar power will be derived from new solar generation facilities within California, including several facilities within the City of Santa Clara. Local projects will be announced when they are approved. Currently, the solar component comes from three projects in Santa Clara (Haman Elementary School, Valley Village Retirement Community, and STG Machine), and Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center in San Ramon.
