Does the pink elephants from dumbo have any connection with the drug lsd?
There is a long history of rumor and speculation connecting Walt Disney and Disney artists to LSD use. They would probably argue that “fantasy” is different than “hallucination.” Lots of Disney stuff appears on LSD art. Mickey has been adorning blotter for decades. There is also the story that Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs represent cocaine (white snow?) and the 7 stages of cocaine addiction. And have you really watched Fantasia? Could people who had never done drugs come up with that stuff? I don’t know. Pink elephants are just one of those strange euphemisms for drunkenness, but the connection of Disney and LSD has been around for a long time.
