Does the pill stop periods?
There are certain kinds of birth control pills that you can take that make you have less periods a year or make you have no periods a year. You can look these up on google just type in birth control for less periods a year. I think one of them is called seasonique or something like that, where you get a period 4 times a year. A doctor can put you on the pill for these reasons if you ask. The birth control pill basically makes your body think it is pregnant. So with normal birth control they have you take one week of sugar pills after 3 weeks of hormone pills. So you get your period. But in theory you could just keep taking the hormone pills and you would never get a period. If you just don’t like getting periods and are thinking about getting on BC to help that I would think again though because birth control can come with a lot of side effects especially the ones that make you only have your period a couple times a year.
