Does the pGIPZ lentiviral shRNA library cover the entire human genome, and how many constructs per target gene are expected?

Open Biosystems is currently transforming all of the retroviral constructs into the new pGIPZ lentiviral design. Recovery requires transformation of pools of hairpins, meaning that constructs will have to be recovered over time. Eventually, all of the retroviral constructs available as lentiviral constructs; release 6.1 (October 26, 2006) contains the first 4800 constructs (50 plates), continued shipments of subsequent releases will occur every two weeks, each containing 4800 constructs. The acquisition of the final release will ensure entire genome coverage, including multiple constructs per gene, number currently undecided. Return to top. Return to pGIPZ faq.
