A8. The PFR (book and software) contains total unadjusted RBRVS unit values. Total refers to the sum of work, practice and malpractice unit values. Unadjusted refers to non geographically adjustments. Total unit values are helpful in getting a “snapshot” relative value price or a “ball park” fee but cannot be used to calculate Medicare fee schedules. See RBRVS EZ-Fees for more information.
