Does the pension estimate I run in miAccount include my 240 hours of unused annual leave?
No, the benefit estimator does not allow you to include up to 240 hours annual leave in your pension calculation. To manually calculate the addition of the annual leave hours to your pension, first determine the value of your annual leave pay: multiply your wage per hour at the time of your termination times the number of hours payable, up to 240 hours. Add the value of your final leave pay to your salary for the last year of your employment. Calculate your final average compensation by averaging your three highest consecutive year’s salary. Unused annual leave is only included in your pension calculation if your FAC period is the last three years of wages. Updated on October 14, 2010 16.
