Does the peace worker make recommendations?
The peace worker primarily serves to create processes that assist conflicted parties in transforming interpersonal and organizational difficulties. Our focus is on healing and reconciliation as a precursor to problem-solving. When the client requests that recommendations be made, they are generated out of agreements made between the minister, board, and church community to take ownership and responsibility for the issues facing the church. The peace worker assists the ministry in defining the steps towards reconciliation and recovery. They are intended to bring individuals, relationships, and systems back to cohesiveness and principle.
