Does the Parole Board grant parole from the Regional Jails?
The Parole Board holds monthly hearings at the Regional Jails. The inmates have to be eligible for a parole hearing, have an approved home plan and all the documentation as required by law. However, if an inmate is granted parole from the Regional Jail, the inmate has to be transferred to a Department of Correction’s Facility soonafter for intake and fingerprinting before they can actually be released on parole. Should an inmate be granted parole from a Regional Jail, you should anticipate seven to ten days before the inmate is released.
