The RFA focuses on Phase II-III clinical trials and network trials because their circumscribed periods for recruitment and therapeutic intervention often leave a narrow time window during which an ancillary study is feasible. However, observational studies that offer a unique opportunity for ancillary studies within a circumscribed time window may also serve as parent studies for this RFA.
