From a paleoanthropological standpoint, it DOES hold up, if you subscribe to the “single origin” or “out of Africa” theory. This research shows we all came from the first hominids that first appeared in Africa 2-3 million years ago. Hominids were upright walking, small-brained, ape-like creatures. Starting about 1.5 million years ago, some hominids began migrating out to what in now Europe and Asia, and later to the Americas. The hominids that LEFT Africa had many more difficult survival challenges than those that stayed behind, who had it MUCH easier. Due to these factors, the early hominids evolved differently, both physically and cerebrally, to what is now called white, asian, black, etc.
