This is absolutely NOT true. STA-BIL® Fuel Stabilizer is effective in storing gasoline for up to 12 months in ALL Ethanol blended fuels, up to E-85. It prevents gum and varnish formation/build-up caused by the breakdown of fuel and also helps prevent corrosion from moisture/humidity during storage.
