Does the original District lose the authority to direct the daily activities of the employees?
No. The partnership allows for the Client School District to continue to direct daily activities and to make decisions. However, the hiring, dismissal decisions are accomplished through collaboration between district and GESC. Example: If a retired teacher is placed in a classroom and the Principal evaluates this teacher as not performing at the expected level, the Principal can notify GESC and request a replacement or simply remove the teacher from the assignment. All of our teachers are “at will” employees.
