Does the Ohio Treasurers office cash state, federal, or personal checks?

0

The Ohio Treasury cashes state checks with proper I.D for state employees. However, we do not cash federal checks or personal checks because the Treasury is not a regular bank. We cash warrants as a courtesy to state employees with two valid forms of ID (i.e., driver’s license, Social Security card, state ID). Unfortunately, we cannot cash warrants for those who are not employed by the state. If the warrant is $5,000 or more, in addition to the above requirements, a special form will be filled out by the cashier which the customer then takes to Key Bank in order to cash the warrant.
