Yes, The North Carolina Symphony has one of the most extensive music education programs of any U.S. orchestra, it performs more than 50 admission- free educational concerts each year for 4th, 5th and 6th grade students in the public school systems throughout the state. The Symphony has a yearly workshop to train public school music teachers to teach educational concert repertoire and provide teacher and student handbooks, educational aids and recordings. More than 300 teachers from across the state take part in this workshop each year.
