Does the Noregon J1939 Protocol Stack include a Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)?

0

The Noregon protocol stack handles the J1939 transport protocol (both RTS/CTS and BAM) as well as J1939 Network Management. The stack does not include a Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), which is the code that glues the stack to the physical hardware. Noregon has HAL code available for several common microcontrollers that we also sell. Noregon can also build a HAL for a customer’s target hardware and integrate it with any existing software. Noregon provides a Rough Order of Magnitude estimate for this effort, but the project would be done on a time and material basis at a pre-determined rate per hour.
