The Head of the Civil Service, Sir Gus O’Donnell, made a commitment that the business expenses incurred by the most senior civil servants would be published from 1 April 2009. In line with this directive the NIO publish the details of business expenses incurred by the Permanent Secretary, Director Generals and Non-Executive Directors. In addition, the details of hospitality received by all members of the NIO Board are also published. Sir Gus O’Donnell’s letter of intent to publish business expenses.
