Does the new replacement drive affect future Tivo software upgrades?
Our upgrades contain standard Tivo software and do not affect any current or future Tivo software upgrades. Whatever features are offered through Tivo service to your current Tivo unit will be available to you after you upgrade, you’ll just have more space available to store your programs. [Back To Top] • Why isn’t my model listed for drives over 160GB? Technically you can use any size drive in any Tivo. However, due to limitations of the operating systems for some models the additional space would not be recognized. We therefore only list those models that fully support the larger drives on our 250GB and larger drives. [Back To Top] • What is your warranty? We provide a 6 month warranty replacement service. If your drive fails within 6 months we will replace your drive free of charge. Please note that the drives will have a longer warranty from the manufacturer (for example Seagate drives are covered for 5 years).
