Does the Neo-Tec Ionizer produce “Black Wall” effect?
No. Although Neo-Tec Ionizer uses needlepoint ionization, and produces a very high density, it avoids creating “Black Wall” effect. This is where walls and other surfaces within a few feet of the ionizer become covered with a blackened residue. This is common with high-density negative ion generators, including most needlepoint ionizers. Neo-Tec Ionizers use a metal collection plate, which attracts many ionized particles. The metallic surface is highly conductive, so ionized particles attach to it, instead of attaching to low-conductive surfaces around the machine. As a result, “Black Wall” effect is prevented.
