Does the Navy require a credit check for enlistment?

ALL branches of the military will conduct some sort of credit check, specifically if the job you are seeking requires a security clearance. But, many times, recruiters over look it and the company commanders at boot camp and/or AIT (for those in the Army) will get notification that you have or have not been cleared for a security clearance, if you haven’t been cleared for a security clearance and your military job requires a clearance, you may not be able to complete the school or at least a minimum, you may not able to move onto your new/first duty station until the security clearance situation has been rectified. BUT, if you have selected a job that does NOT require a security clearance, you should be good to go. Confused now?
