Does the NAAC ensure that there is adequate transparency in the process of Assessment?
Yes. At the start, NAAC, makes its methodology and instrument very clear to the participating institutions. Only the institutions that volunteer to undergo the process along the guidelines laid down by the NAAC are taken up for the process. At every stage of the process of decision making the institution is given an opportunity to record its observations, starting from the constitution of the peer team upto the draft report of the peer team. In fact the whole process of assessment and accreditation is nothing but the validation of what the institution claims in its self-study report.
