No. The primary mode is screen-space decomposition for parallel rendering. Does the Multipipe Edition use level of detail (LOD) techniques? No. The entire scene, as present in the standard AVS/Express viewer, is sent to the MPU pipes. Users can use the simplification and decimation modules in AVS/Express to reduce geometry at the application level.
