My unlocked L7 (purchased unlocked) has Video Capture on the Multimedia Menu. Select the Video Camera option, you will get a video viewfinder (just like the photo viewfinder). You initiate filming with the capture button. You also get a bar at the bottom showing you the time remaining. The Cingular manual (http://www.motorola.com/mdirect/manuals/SLVR_9499A20O.pdf) shows Video Capture on the My Stuff-Video Camera menu, so the location must vary from carrier to carrier.
