Does the Mormon Church believe in the Immaculate Conception?
1. Mormons do not believe in “original sin” or “inherited sin”. Hence they do not believe in the necessity of an “immaculate conception” doctrine. (Most Mormons I know do not fully understand that the immaculate conception refers to Mary’s conception, not Jesus’ conception, and confuse it with the virgin birth.) 2.
