Does the miScript PCR System detect precursor miRNAs?

0

The miScript PCR System uses a miScript Primer Assay and the miScript Universal Primer (provided in the miScript SYBR Green PCR Kit) for mature miRNA detection. When a miScript Primer Assay and the miScript Universal Primer are used for miRNA detection, precursor miRNAs are not amplified and only mature miRNAs are detected. Mature miRNA detection is not affected by the presence of precursor miRNAs in the sample. Precursor-specific PCR products have never been observed in PCR products generated using a miScript Primer Assay and the miScript Universal Primer.
