Mr. Darren Praznik (Lac du Bonnet): Mr. Chair, I am going to skip the opening statement and ask the question I indicated at second reading. I take it that this will allow for the enforcement of maintenance and support orders from other jurisdictions. Mr. Mackintosh: This extends to civil judgments beyond maintenance enforcement, but the effectiveness of the legislation does depend on the federal ratification of the treaty.
