Does the MGCB regulate Native American casinos?
No. Native American tribes are sovereign nations. The MGCB has no regulatory authority over tribal casinos. However, Tribal-State Compacts (written agreements between the tribal communities and the State) give the State the authority to inspect and monitor Native American casino operations to determine compliance with the Compacts.
