Does the menu option “Free Memory” work the same as double-clicking the icon?
Exactly. How do I turn off the automatic memory freeing feature? Setting a threshold of zero in the Configuration Screen turns off automatic freeing. I set the threshold to zero but RAMpage 1.3 still frees memory from time to time. Why? This is a bug in version 1.3 — the automatic freeing will kick in if you actually reach zero bytes of free memory.
