Unfortunately not! Old movies, new movies, MTV and the like, do bellydancing a very big disservice. They insist on portraying bellydance as sexual and do movements no bellydancer would ever consider. Just because someone puts on a bellydance costume doesn’t mean he/she is performing bellydance.
