Does the LOI have to state which grant category the applicant is submitting to?
Yes, an LOI must state which grant category the applicant is submitting to. In addition, the LOI also should state the name of the Principal Investigator (and mentor, when applicable), key personnel who will work on the grant, applicant organization, title of the study, estimated budget and a brief description of the focus of the work. This information will allow the Alpha-1 Foundation to determine the project’s relevance to the Alpha-1 Foundation’s mission. More detailed criteria for the LOI can be found in the LOI and and Grant Application Instructions document.
