Does the Levy apply where consultants providing care to patients at private hospitals park in public car parks?
If for the purpose of attending a particular hospital, a doctor personally reserves a parking space for his or her own use, whether in a public or private car park, that parking space would attract the Levy. Likewise, if a consulting physician relies on casual parking in a public car park, the fees charged by the operator could include the amount of Levy which the operator has determined is applicable to the type of ticket or price charged.
