Does the length of a wire change the resistance?

0

A wire has more resistance if it is long and thing. A wire has less resistance if it is short and fat. This is because in the long thin wire, there is less ‘room’ for the electrons to flow through and there are more fixed atoms for the electrons to ‘bump’ into and when they bump into them they vibrate and heat up. When they ‘bump’ into them, it is resistance because they are resisting the flow.
