Does the law now preclude an “apprentice appraiser” from preparing an appraisal report?

No. This does not preclude an “apprentice appraiser” from preparing an appraisal report. However, it will require a review and signature of a certified or licensed real estate appraiser as the supervisory appraiser. Appraisers are reminded that Standard Rule 2-3 USPAP requires the name of each individual providing significant professional assistance be stated in the certification of the report.
