Does the law apply to charitable sales promotions and commercial co-venturers?
Every charitable organization that participates in a charitable sales promotion in Colorado is required to register, but commercial co-venturers are not. However, when a commercial co-venturer expects that more than 50% of all proceeds of a solicitation campaign will be derived from transactions in Colorado, s/he is required to make certain disclosures in each advertisement pertaining to the promotion (see 6-16-110(2), C.R.S.).
