Does the labour mobility act have any implications for internationally educated teachers applying from outside of Canada?

The labour mobility agreement does not have implications for teachers applying from outside of Canada. However, the College is working with the Ministry of Education on a regulatory change that will remove the one-year teaching experience condition for applicants from outside Canada. Q. I applied in June as an out-of-province applicant. I understand that as a potential labour mobility applicant, I could fall under different rules, different fees and different document requirements. I feel that it would benefit me to cancel my application as an out-of-province applicant and re-apply as a labour mobility applicant. How do I do that? A. An out-of-province applicant with an application in progress and with no final decision will be considered under labour mobility. You do not have to cancel your application or re-apply. Labour mobility applicants will be required to pay a registration fee and an annual membership fee. There will be no evaluation fee.
