Does the LabelWriter work with Rendezvous?
Out of the box, the DYMO LabelWriters will not work with Rendezvous. To use the Label Writer (Trinity II series) with Rendezvous, an Apple Airport Extreme base station is needed. Other non-Apple third party devices which claim to be support Rendezvous may also work. However, DYMO has not tested these and therefore does not support them. Solution: Rendezvous uses industry standard IP protocols to allow devices to automatically find each other without the need to enter IP addresses or configure DNS servers. Rendezvous is basically the friendly term for a protocol called ZeroConf. The whole idea behind a Rendezvous-ready device is that you could connect it to your wired/wireless network and the device would automatically configure itself (ip address, dns, etc) and let every other computer/device on the network know what it’s functions are (printer, etc).
