Both. The King Demi works as a stand-alone unit with optional PC control via USB. The King Demis host software program allows the user to input custom script commands and create log files for every function performed. Custom script commands are commonly used for data recovery applications or for creating special task chains (example: combine Data-Only copy with SMART Test as 1 function).
