Does the Job and Social Services Office provide rental assistance or other financial assistance?
The Job and Social Services Office generally does not provide financial services for long–term housing. Anyone looking for housing is welcome to stop by and pick up a housing list that provides the names of local apartment complexes and contact information for rental property owners and managers in the community. A Community Help Fund has been established for emergency assistance such as temporary lodging, bus passes, medical exams, car repairs, food, clothing, etc. Anyone in need of emergency assistance is welcome to complete a needs assessment at the office. The Job and Social Services office also administers a Victim’s Compensation Fund for individuals who have been injured or killed as a result of a crime. Information on how to apply can be obtained from the Job and Social Services Office.
