Does the Italian language use the same number of letters as English?

Sort of. Their original alphabet has less letters (21) but because they’ve adopted some English words, they use all of the letters in the English alphabet in their vocabulary. When you look at an Italian alphabet, though, it can have have just 21 letters in the main section then a little side box with the extra non-Italian letters in it like (J, K, W, X and Y).
