Does the iSCSI solution support direct connect (no switches) between iSCSI adapters?

0

Yes, with IBM i 6.1 or later, a switch is not required between the iSCSI adapters for simple one-to-one configurations that use an IBM i iSCSI hardware target (iSCSI HBA). For more complex configurations, configurations that use an IBM i iSCSI software target (Ethernet NIC), and for i 5.4, a switch is required between the iSCSI adapters. See the Ethernet switches for iSCSI page for details.
